Henry Cavill as Clark Kent is a Kryptonian (human being from the planet Krypton) whose parents sent him to the planet earth to survive from the destruction of thier planet Krypton due to its unstable core. Super man is depicted as being 33 years old and he becomes the earth's ultimate protector to save the world from annihilation.
Amy Adams as Lois Lane is a reporter for a newspaper who is an independent woman and the love interest of Clark kent.
Michael Shanon as General Zod is a Kryptonian general having similar super powers as the superman and acts as the antagonist in the movie.
