Social Drama

CAST : Bipin Karki, Keki Adhikari, Arpan Thapa, Mahesh Tripathi

SUMMARY : Prasad 2 (2023) is a Nepali social drama that follows Baburam (Bipin Karki) and Narayani (Keki Adhikari), an inter caste couple who return to their native village after a 12 year exile with their nine year old son. Their attempt to reintegrate reignites deep seated caste prejudices, sparking social conflict, political turmoil, and public humiliation. The film offers a sharp critique of systemic discrimination and its personal consequences. Viewing Note: Although Prasad 2 is a sequel to the 2018 film Prasad, it tells a completely standalone story. No prior viewing is required, as the two films are independent in plot, themes, and character development.
